How To Apply
Grants submitted to the Foundation will be reviewed by Foundation staff to determine whether the proposal meets current funding guidelines. Requests are analyzed in light of the overall Foundation objectives. After this review, the staff makes a final referral to the Board of Trustees for consideration.
The Foundation's Board of Trustees meets four times a year: March, June, September, and December. Deadlines for these meetings are January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15.
Grant requests for the Margaret Abell Powell Fund are reviewed two times a year: June and December. Deadlines for these meetings are April 15 and October 15.

Please be sure all grant applications contain complete contact information. Review this checklist before sending your proposal. Please include the following:

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

  • Cover letter including amount requested and specific program description including contact person with phone number

  • Maximum of two pages explaining how the grant will be used

FINANCIAL INFORMATION:

  • Budget for the grant requested

  • Period of time for which the funds are requested

  • Proposed project budget for year in which grant is to be used

  • Copy of organizational budget for year in which grant is to be used

  • Copy of your 990 for the past three years

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Copy of Board of Directors

  • Copy of 501(c)(3)  determination letter from the IRS

  • Copy of the Foundation's Abortion Counseling Disclosure Statement
